A Guide to ACREX India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the rotating venue: the rules that shape your stand
ACREX India runs at the India Expo Mart (Greater Noida) or the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO, Mumbai) — each with its own access and marshalling discipline. We design to the specific venue and hall allocated, because heights, grids, loading and the freight leg differ — a Mumbai edition is our home venue with no freight, while a Greater Noida edition adds a ~1,400 km road leg.
HVAC&R equipment is heavy and may need power for demonstration, so floor loading and a declared electrical load are planned in early, ordered through the official contractor ahead of the deadline to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site; and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
We plan the logistics to the venue: a Mumbai edition leans on home-ground proximity for careful equipment setting, while a Greater Noida edition is crated and convoy-timed to land inside the access window.
What a winning HVAC&R stand needs
The stands that win at ACREX India display real equipment and make the engineering legible. We design clean, well-lit display for chillers, AHUs, compressors, fans or controls — heavy units need proper mounting and floor loading — with clear signage on efficiency, capacity and the standards met, and a seated area for the technical conversation. Where a working or cutaway demonstration helps, we design it in with the power and space it needs.
Efficiency and certification cues are decisive in HVAC&R specification, so we give them prominent placement; and we keep the stand legible, because an MEP consultant should grasp what the equipment does and how efficiently before they reach you.
Designing for MEP consultants, contractors and facility teams
Buyers walk ACREX India with building projects and equipment requirements, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then talk specifics: a clear statement of your equipment, efficiency, capacity range and certifications, a demonstration where useful, then a seated conversation about specification, integration, lifecycle cost and service. We design the path from the equipment on display to that conversation, because in building-services procurement the efficiency and support close the deal.
We keep the message specific to your domain — cooling, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, controls, IAQ — because an MEP consultant and a cold-chain buyer want different proof, and a precise equipment-and-efficiency statement is found far faster than a general 'HVAC solutions' one.
What an ACREX India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at ACREX India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with equipment display and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island, double-deck or heavy-equipment build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, freight, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is heavy equipment floor loading and live demonstration, meeting-room enclosure, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and a Mumbai edition saves the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for components and controls suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for chiller, AHU and refrigeration majors. The layout puts equipment where the aisle sees it, plans safe circulation and mounting for heavy units, and keeps a meeting area for the specification conversation. Corner and island positions help on a busy, project-focused floor.
Whatever the size, we present and light equipment well, because well-presented, efficient-looking equipment on a clean stand is the quality signal an HVAC&R buyer reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the venue: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power and any demonstration load through the official contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading for heavy equipment, and time the freight (or, for a Mumbai edition, the short local delivery) so the stand and its equipment land set and ready for the first buyer.
For a Mumbai edition we lean on home-ground proximity to set and commission heavy equipment carefully during build-up.
Reusing your stand between editions
HVAC&R brands exhibit at ACREX India and the regional building-services circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable equipment display is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and equipment display for each edition, and keep your power and handling orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Under-planning floor loading or mounting for heavy units like chillers and AHUs.
- Hiding efficiency figures and certifications an MEP consultant is scanning for.
- No meeting area on a specification-driven floor.
- Generic 'HVAC solutions' messaging that hides the equipment and its efficiency.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
