A Guide to Bharat Tex for First-Time Exhibitors
Building across Bharat Mandapam and Yashobhoomi: the rules that shape your stand
Bharat Tex spans two modern flagship venues — Bharat Mandapam (Pragati Maidan) and Yashobhoomi (IICC Dwarka) — each with generous height, high-capacity halls and strict access discipline. Working across them can mean two sets of build-up schedules, contractors and access windows, so the venue and hall you're allocated shape the plan.
Power is sanctioned through each venue's official electrical contractor against a declared load, ordered ahead to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; rigging where permitted goes through the appointed agency; finishing is completed off-site; and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
NCR logistics are tight in the February window for a show this large. Freight runs roughly 1,400 km by road from our Mumbai facility, so crating and convoy timing decide your build week; we schedule to land the stand inside its access window rather than queue in the marshalling yard.
What a winning textile and apparel stand needs
The stands that win orders at Bharat Tex present product to be seen and handled. We design clean, well-lit display for fabric, garments, yarn or machinery — drape and texture matter, so lighting and presentation are designed to show the material truthfully — with a clear product and capability message and certifications and compliance visible. A comfortable, semi-private meeting area lets a buyer sit, examine samples and negotiate.
For a fabric or apparel brand, the sample experience is decisive, so we design good sample display and handling and a calm space for the sourcing conversation; for machinery exhibitors we plan floor loading and a live demonstration where it helps.
Designing for global sourcing teams and manufacturers
Buyers walk Bharat Tex with sourcing lists and order books, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then host the negotiation: a clear statement of your products, capacity, compliance and certifications, sample display they can handle, then a seated conversation about specification, price, MOQ and lead time. We design the path from the product display to that conversation, because at an export-and-order show the negotiation is where the deal closes.
We keep the message specific to your segment — fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel, technical textile, home textile, machinery — because a fabric sourcing buyer and a machinery buyer want different proof, and a precise product story is found far faster than a general 'textiles' one on a very large floor.
What a Bharat Tex stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at Bharat Tex runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with sample display and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island, double-deck or machinery build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, road freight to Delhi, install, dismantle and each venue's paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is extensive sample display, multiple meeting rooms, machinery floor loading, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — those sit inside the turnkey figure.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for specialist suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for large mills, exporters and machinery majors. The layout leads with sample or product display where the aisle sees it and keeps protected meeting space for the order conversation. Corner and island positions help you be seen and approached on a very busy, high-footfall floor.
Whatever the size, we present and light samples and product well, because well-displayed fabric or garments on a clean stand are the quality signal a sourcing buyer reads before they handle a sample.
Getting into the NCR venues: build-up timing
Each venue runs its own tight build-up and access schedule in the February window, and services book up early across both. We confirm your build slot, coordinate the relevant venue's contractor for power, plan floor loading for any machinery, and time the Mumbai-to-NCR freight so the stand lands inside its access window — finished and ready for the first buyer delegation.
For brands exhibiting across both venues, we run the builds and access windows as a single coordinated plan.
Reusing your stand between editions
Textile brands exhibit at Bharat Tex, Gartex, ITME and the regional textile circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable sample display is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and sample display for each edition, and keep your venue and contractor orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Flat, generic lighting that flattens the drape and texture of fabric samples.
- No protected meeting space on an order-and-negotiation floor.
- Treating a two-venue presence as one build and missing an access window.
- Generic 'textiles' messaging that hides which segment you actually serve.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
