A Guide to Broadcast India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC: the rules that shape your stand
The Jio World Convention Centre (BKC) is one of Mumbai's most modern venues, with high-quality halls and strict access discipline. The hall you're allocated shapes the build, so we design to the specific space rather than a generic assumption.
Broadcast stands are AV- and power-intensive: cameras, monitor walls, switching, audio and lighting draw real load, and demo areas often need controlled lighting and acoustic separation, so we calculate and order power and connectivity through the official contractor early — late orders attract peak-build surcharges — and plan signal, heat and acoustic isolation into the design. Rigging for monitors and lighting, where permitted, goes through the appointed agency; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site.
The home-ground advantage matters: a broadcast-grade demo needs careful setup and calibration, and our workshop being minutes from the venue means proper AV-test time without the pressure a long freight would add — no long road freight, shorter crating, and fast reaction during build-up.
What a winning broadcast stand needs
The stands that win at Broadcast India are working, broadcast-grade environments. We design camera and production demo areas, calibrated monitor walls, audio booths with acoustic separation, and clean, well-lit display — engineered for the AV, connectivity, heat and lighting control they carry — plus a meeting area for the technical conversation. The build and the demo quality must look broadcast-grade, because here the stand itself is the proof of your product.
We design distinct demo zones so a camera demo, a post workflow and an audio demo don't interfere, often with controlled lighting for monitor and camera areas, and we plan the visitor journey so a buyer experiences each at its best.
Designing for broadcasters, production and post teams
Buyers walk Broadcast India assessing technology by operating it, so the stand has to demonstrate a real workflow and then host the conversation: hands-on access to cameras, production or post, then a seated conversation about specification, integration, workflow and support. We design the path from the demo to that conversation, because at a workflow-driven show the demonstration earns the meeting and the meeting earns the specification.
We keep the message and the demo specific to your domain — acquisition, production, post, audio, streaming, infrastructure — because a production engineer and a post professional want different proof, and a precise, working demonstration lands far harder than a general 'media solutions' panel.
What a Broadcast India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at Broadcast India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a demo zone and meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium experiential, monitor-wall or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is AV and monitor-wall scale, controlled-lighting demo areas, acoustically separated audio booths, and a double-deck or large experiential build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out, and because this is our home venue, you save the freight and gain AV-commissioning time.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for accessory and software suppliers to 100 m²-plus experiential islands and double-deckers for camera, production and infrastructure majors. The layout separates demo zones, plans cable management, heat, lighting control and acoustics into the design, and keeps a meeting area for the technical conversation. Corner and island positions help a demo build be seen on a busy floor.
Whatever the size, we build, finish and calibrate to a broadcast-grade standard, because at Broadcast India the production quality of your stand is read directly as the quality of your product.
Getting into the Jio World Convention Centre: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight, high-standard build-up, and power, rigging and AV slots book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order the heavy AV and power load through the official contractor before the deadline, plan rigging, connectivity, lighting control and acoustic isolation, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand lands and the demos are commissioned and calibrated in good time.
Because a broadcast-grade build needs proper commissioning, being Mumbai-based lets us run that testing thoroughly rather than against the clock.
Reusing your stand between editions
Broadcast brands exhibit at Broadcast India and the regional media-tech circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable AV and demo fixtures is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics, demo content and monitor layouts for each edition, and keep your AV, power and connectivity orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A static stand on a floor where buyers expect to operate a working broadcast workflow.
- Uncontrolled lighting or sound bleed that ruins camera, monitor and audio demos.
- Under-ordering power and connectivity for heavy AV and scrambling on build day.
- Leaving demo commissioning and calibration to opening morning.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
