A Guide to Didac India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the rotating venue: the rules that shape your stand
Didac India runs at major venues — BIEC (Bengaluru) or Pragati Maidan (New Delhi) — each with its own access and marshalling discipline. We design to the specific venue and hall allocated, because heights, grids, loading and the freight leg differ — roughly 985 km from Mumbai to Bengaluru or 1,400 km to Delhi.
Education stands often carry AV and interactive technology, so power, connectivity and a try-able setup are planned in early, ordered through the official contractor ahead of the deadline. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
We plan the logistics to the venue: the stand and any interactive technology are crated and convoy-timed for the relevant road leg, and we coordinate the stand and any separately arriving equipment into one access window so the demos are set and tested in time.
What a winning education stand needs
The stands that win at Didac India let buyers experience the solution. We design interactive, try-able demonstrations — a smart-classroom setup, a lab, a training station — with the AV, connectivity and power they need, clear solution and outcome messaging, and a meeting area for the institutional conversation. The demonstration should be usable, because an education buyer assesses a solution by trying it and picturing it in their classroom or programme.
We keep the demo legible and the message outcome-focused — learning outcomes, usability, value — and specific to your domain, because a school buyer, a university and a skilling institute assess differently, and a try-able, outcome-led demonstration lands far harder than a general 'education solutions' panel.
Designing for institutional, government and distributor buyers
Buyers walk Didac India with programme, procurement and budget decisions, often as committees, so the stand has to demonstrate and then host a considered conversation: a try-able solution, then a conversation about outcomes, deployment, training, budget and support. We design the path from the demo to that conversation, because at an institution-driven show the demonstration earns the meeting and the meeting earns the programme.
We keep the message specific to your segment — edtech, classroom AV, labs, furniture, skilling, content — because a K-12 buyer and a vocational-training buyer want different proof, and a precise, try-able solution is found far faster than a general one.
What a Didac India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at Didac India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with an interactive demo setup and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island, double-deck or multi-demo build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, freight, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is an elaborate interactive demo or smart-classroom setup with AV and connectivity, multiple demo zones, meeting-room enclosure, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out, which sit inside the turnkey figure.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for content and component suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for major edtech and equipment houses. The layout leads with a try-able demo where the aisle sees it, plans AV, connectivity and circulation, and keeps a meeting area for the institutional conversation. Corner and island positions help a demo build be seen on a busy floor.
Whatever the size, we build the demo to be usable and the stand clean and credible, because on an education floor a working, try-able solution on a credible stand is the quality signal an institutional buyer reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the venue: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and power, connectivity and AV slots book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power and connectivity through the official contractor before the deadline, plan the interactive demo and AV, and time the freight so the stand lands and the demos are set and tested in good time.
Because interactive technology often arrives separately, we coordinate the stand and the equipment into one access window so the demos are commissioned rather than rushed on opening morning.
Reusing your stand between editions
Education brands exhibit at Didac India and the regional education and skilling circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable demo and AV fixtures is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and demo content for each edition, and keep your power and connectivity orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A hands-off stand on a floor where buyers want to try the solution.
- Feature-led messaging with no learning outcomes or value for a budget-driven buyer.
- Under-planning AV and connectivity for interactive demos.
- No meeting area for a considered, often committee-led conversation.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
