A Guide to electronica India & productronica India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the North and South venues: the rules that shape your stand
The North edition runs at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida — big, flat, high-clearance halls suited to tall stands and double-deckers, co-located with SEMICON India — while the South edition runs at BIEC, Bengaluru, also a large purpose-built venue. The venue and hall you're allocated shape the build, so we design to the specific space rather than a generic assumption.
Power is sanctioned through the official electrical contractor against a declared load — and electronics stands often run demos, displays and screens that draw real load — ordered early to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, rigging where permitted goes through the appointed agency, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
Freight differs by edition: roughly 1,400 km by road from our Mumbai facility to Greater Noida (North) and roughly 985 km to Bengaluru (South). We crate and convoy-time to each venue's access window, and for brands doing both editions we plan a stored core that moves between them.
What a winning electronics stand needs
The stands that win at electronica/productronica India show product and signal scale. We design clean, well-lit display for components, boards or production equipment with a clear category and capability message, because an EMS or OEM sourcing buyer is assessing whether you can supply at scale, not just what you make. Certifications and capacity are decisive, so we give them prominent, verifiable placement.
Where you display production equipment or a live demo, we engineer the power and connectivity it needs; and we keep the look confident and technical, matching a sector that is scaling manufacturing fast and reads precision in your stand.
Designing for EMS, OEM sourcing and production engineers
Buyers walk electronica/productronica India assessing supply, capability and production technology, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then talk scale: a clear statement of your product, capacity, certifications and roadmap, then a seated conversation about supply volumes, pricing, partnership and lead time. We design the path from the product on display to that conversation, because in a 'Make in India' electronics market the capacity-and-supply discussion is where the deal starts.
We keep the message specific to your segment — passive and active components, connectors, EMS, PCB, test, production and assembly equipment — because a component sourcing buyer and a production-line buyer are scanning for different proof, and a precise capability statement is found far faster than a general 'electronics' one.
What an electronica/productronica India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at electronica/productronica India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with product display and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, freight to Greater Noida or Bengaluru, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is a tall or double-deck structure, production-equipment floor loading, a working demonstration, or a first-floor meeting lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and for brands doing both editions, reusing a stored core across North and South cuts the cost of the second build.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for component and consumables suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for component majors, EMS and production-equipment brands. The layout puts product where the aisle sees it, gives certifications and capacity prominent space, and sets a meeting area for the sourcing conversation. Corner and island positions help you be seen on a busy, manufacturing-led floor.
Whatever the size, we present product and equipment safely and light them well, because well-presented product on a clean, technical stand is the quality signal an electronics buyer reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the venue: build-up timing
Each venue runs a tight build-up and marshalling schedule, and power and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order the declared load through the official contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading for any production equipment, and time the freight to Greater Noida (North) or Bengaluru (South) so the stand lands inside its access window — finished and ready for the first buyer.
For brands exhibiting at both the April and September editions, we plan a single stored core that refreshes and moves between the two rather than building twice from scratch.
Reusing your stand between editions
Electronics brands exhibit at both electronica/productronica India editions, SEMICON India and the global electronica circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and product display for each edition, and keep your contractor orders on file — so the next show, North or South, is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A product-only stand that says nothing about manufacturing capacity in a scale-driven market.
- Hiding certifications and capacity figures that an EMS or OEM buyer is scanning for.
- Building North and South from scratch when one stored core could move between them.
- Under-declaring power load for a live demo or display.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
