A Guide to glasspex India / glasspro India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon: the rules that shape your stand
The BEC (NESCO) is Mumbai's principal venue — a multi-hall complex on the Western Express Highway with its own access and marshalling discipline. Hall heights and column grids vary by hall, so we design to the specific hall rather than a generic assumption, and machinery builds are largely custom raw-space.
Glass machinery is heavy and glass itself is both heavy and fragile, so floor loading and careful, safe glass handling and mounting are early calculations: we plan machine positions and load spread, and for flat glass and façade displays we engineer secure mounting and edge protection. Three-phase power is ordered against a declared load through the official contractor ahead of the deadline; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site; and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
The home-ground advantage is real and particularly valuable for glass: our workshop is minutes from the BEC, so there is no long road freight (which matters for fragile glass), crating is shorter, and we can react fast and handle delicate glass carefully during build-up — a genuine cost and reliability edge.
What a winning glass-industry stand needs
The stands that win at glasspex India display the machinery or glass and make the capability legible. For machinery brands, we design a stable, well-lit platform with safe sightlines for a running or demonstrated machine, clear signage on process and output; for flat-glass and fenestration brands, we design secure, well-lit display of large panels and façade mock-ups that show clarity, coating and performance, with a sample and specification area. A meeting area lets a manufacturer, architect or builder talk supply or specification.
Glass is presented under light to show its clarity, colour and coatings truthfully, and mounted safely, because glass quality is judged visually and handled carefully; and we keep the message specific so a glass buyer or specifier grasps your capability or product before they reach you.
Designing for manufacturers, processors, architects and builders
Buyers walk glasspex India with production, project and specification needs, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then talk specifics: a clear machinery or glass-product message, a demonstration or panel display, then a conversation about specification, capacity, performance, price and lead time. We design the path from the display to that conversation, because at a machinery-and-project show the demonstration or the panel earns the meeting and the meeting earns the order.
We keep the message specific to your segment — container-glass machinery, flat glass, processing, coatings, fenestration, façades — because a glass processor and an architect specifying a façade want different proof, and a precise capability-or-product statement is found far faster than a general 'glass solutions' one.
What a glasspex India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at glasspex India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with machinery or glass-panel display and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island, double-deck or heavy-machinery build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor space outside it.
What moves the number is heavy machinery floor loading and a demonstration, large secure glass-panel or façade mock-up display, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add, which matters especially for fragile glass.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for tools, materials and component suppliers up to 100 m²-plus raw-space or panel-display builds for machinery, flat-glass and fenestration majors. The layout puts the machine or the glass panels where the aisle sees them, plans safe circulation and secure mounting, and keeps a meeting area for the technical conversation. Corner and island positions help on a busy, project-focused floor.
Whatever the size, we light and present the machinery or glass to show build and product quality, because on a glass floor the presentation and clarity of the glass — and the finish of the stand — are part of how a buyer judges quality.
Getting into the BEC: build-up timing
The BEC runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and power, handling and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order three-phase power through the official contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading and the forklift schedule for machinery and secure mounting for glass, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand and its machinery or glass land set and safely handled, ready for the first buyer.
Being Mumbai-based, we can handle fragile glass and heavy machinery carefully during build-up in a way a long-freight out-of-town build never could.
Reusing your stand between editions
Glass brands exhibit at glasspex India, the regional glass and building-material circuit and global glass shows across the cycle, so a modular reusable stand designed around your machinery footprints or panel display is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and display for each edition, and keep your power and handling orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Insecure or unprotected glass mounting that risks fragile panels.
- Under-planning floor loading for heavy glass machinery.
- Flat lighting that hides the clarity and coatings a glass buyer is assessing.
- Generic 'glass solutions' messaging that hides the machinery or product capability.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
