A Guide to IFSEC India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at Pragati Maidan (Bharat Mandapam): the rules that shape your stand
Bharat Mandapam — the modern IECC at Pragati Maidan — is a central-Delhi flagship venue with generous height, high-capacity halls and strict access discipline. Its scale suits demo-led builds and double-deckers; anything two-storey or a complex structure needs a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer, submitted ahead of the show.
Security stands are AV- and power-aware: screen walls, camera arrays, displays and live demos draw real load, so we calculate and order power through the official electrical contractor early — late orders attract peak-build surcharges — and plan data and connectivity for the demos. Rigging for screens and cameras, where permitted, goes through the appointed agency; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site.
Central-Delhi logistics are tight. Freight runs roughly 1,400 km by road from our Mumbai facility, so crating and convoy timing decide your build week; we schedule to land the stand inside its access window rather than queue in the marshalling yard.
What a winning security and fire-safety stand needs
The stands that win at IFSEC India make the technology work in front of the buyer. We design demo zones with working cameras, screen walls showing live feeds, access and detection demonstrations, and clean, well-lit display — engineered for the AV, connectivity and power loads they carry — plus a meeting area for the integration-and-project conversation. The build quality should match a serious security brand, because reliability is the product and a flimsy stand undercuts it.
We keep the demo legible and the message specific to your domain — video, access, perimeter, fire detection, integration — because an integrator and a government end-user are scanning for different proof, and a precise working demonstration lands far harder than a general 'security solutions' panel.
Designing for integrators, consultants and government buyers
Buyers walk IFSEC India with security projects and integration requirements, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then host the conversation: a clear statement of your capability and integration, a demonstration that proves it, then a seated conversation about specification, integration, compliance and service. We design the path from the demo to that conversation, because at a project-and-integration show the demonstration earns the meeting and the meeting earns the project.
Because government and law-enforcement buyers are on the floor, where relevant we plan a calm, semi-private space for the sensitive procurement conversation alongside the public demo flow.
What an IFSEC India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at IFSEC India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a demo zone and meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium experiential, screen-wall or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, road freight to Delhi, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is AV and screen-wall scale, live camera and access demos, connectivity, and a double-deck or large experiential build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out, which sit inside the turnkey figure.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for component and software suppliers to 100 m²-plus experiential islands and double-deckers for surveillance, access and integrated-security majors. The layout balances a demo-led front with a meeting zone, and on an AV-heavy floor we plan cable management, heat and connectivity into the design. Corner and island positions help a demo build be seen on a busy floor.
Whatever the size, we build and finish to a serious-tech standard and light it well, because on a security floor the production value of the stand is read as a proxy for the reliability of the technology.
Getting into Pragati Maidan: build-up timing
Bharat Mandapam runs a tight build-up, and power, rigging and AV slots book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order the AV and power load through the official contractor before the deadline, plan rigging and connectivity for screens and cameras, and time the Mumbai-to-Delhi freight so the stand lands inside its access window — built, dressed and demo-ready for the first day.
Because a demo-led build adds AV commissioning, we plan demo-test time into the schedule rather than leaving it to opening morning.
Reusing your stand between editions
Security brands exhibit at IFSEC India, Secutech India and the regional security circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable AV and demo fixtures is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics, demo content and screen layouts for each edition, and keep your AV, power and connectivity orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A static, slides-only stand on a floor where buyers expect to see the system working.
- Under-ordering AV and power load and scrambling on build day.
- No private space for sensitive government and integration conversations.
- Leaving AV commissioning to opening morning instead of scheduling demo-test time.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
