A Guide to India Cold Chain Show for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon: the rules that shape your stand
The BEC (NESCO) is Mumbai's principal venue — a multi-hall complex on the Western Express Highway with its own access and marshalling discipline. Hall heights and column grids vary by hall, so we design to the specific hall rather than a generic assumption.
Refrigeration and cold-storage equipment can be heavy and may need power to run, so floor loading and a declared electrical load are planned in early, ordered through the official contractor ahead of the deadline to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
The home-ground advantage is real: our workshop is minutes from the BEC, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, and we can react fast during build-up — a genuine cost and reliability edge, and useful when heavy refrigeration equipment needs careful, safe setting.
What a winning cold-chain stand needs
The stands that win at the India Cold Chain Show display real equipment and make the engineering legible. We design clean, well-lit display for refrigeration units, cold-storage or monitoring equipment with proper, safe mounting, clear signage on efficiency, capacity, temperature range and reliability, and a seated area for the technical conversation. Where a working or cutaway demonstration helps, we design it in with the power and space it needs.
Efficiency and reliability are decisive in cold-chain procurement — energy cost and uptime matter enormously — so we give those figures prominent placement, and keep the message legible so a cold-storage or logistics buyer grasps what the equipment delivers before they reach you.
Designing for cold-storage operators, logistics and processors
Buyers walk the India Cold Chain Show with temperature-controlled projects and capacity needs, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then talk specifics: a clear statement of your equipment, capacity, temperature range, efficiency and reliability, a demonstration where useful, then a seated conversation about specification, integration, energy cost and service. We design the path from the equipment on display to that conversation, because in cold-chain procurement the efficiency and reliability close the deal.
We keep the message specific to your domain — industrial refrigeration, cold storage, reefer transport, refrigerated display, monitoring — because a cold-storage operator and a reefer-fleet buyer want different proof, and a precise equipment-and-efficiency statement is found far faster than a general 'cold chain solutions' one.
What an India Cold Chain Show stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at the India Cold Chain Show runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with equipment display and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island, double-deck or heavy-equipment build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is heavy refrigeration equipment floor loading and mounting, a working demonstration, meeting-room enclosure, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for components, monitoring and software suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for refrigeration, cold-storage and reefer majors. The layout puts equipment where the aisle sees it, plans safe mounting and circulation for heavy units, and keeps a meeting area for the project conversation. Corner and island positions help on a busy, project-focused floor.
Whatever the size, we present and light equipment well, because well-presented, efficient-looking equipment on a clean stand is the quality signal a cold-chain buyer reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the BEC: build-up timing
The BEC runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power and any demonstration load through the venue contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading and safe mounting for heavy equipment off the highway docks, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand and its equipment land set and ready for the first buyer.
Being Mumbai-based, we can also help set heavy refrigeration equipment safely during build-up in a way an out-of-town builder can't.
Reusing your stand between editions
Cold-chain brands exhibit at the India Cold Chain Show and the regional logistics and refrigeration circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable equipment display is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and equipment display for each edition, and keep your power and handling orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Under-planning floor loading or mounting for heavy refrigeration equipment.
- Hiding efficiency and reliability figures a cold-chain buyer is scanning for.
- No meeting area on a project-driven floor.
- Generic 'cold chain solutions' messaging that hides the equipment and its efficiency.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
