A Guide to InfoComm India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC: the rules that shape your stand
The Jio World Convention Centre (BKC) is one of Mumbai's most modern venues, with high-quality halls and strict access discipline. The hall you're allocated shapes the build, so we design to the specific space rather than a generic assumption.
InfoComm stands are the most AV- and power-intensive of any show: large display walls, LED, audio and control draw significant load, and audio zones need acoustic separation, so we calculate and order power and connectivity through the official contractor early — late orders attract peak-build surcharges — and plan signal, heat and acoustic isolation into the design. Rigging for displays and lighting, where permitted, goes through the appointed agency; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site.
The home-ground advantage matters more here than almost anywhere: an AV-intensive stand needs careful commissioning and calibration, and our workshop being minutes from the venue means we can build in proper AV-test time without the pressure a long freight would add — no long road freight, shorter crating, and fast reaction during build-up.
What a winning pro-AV stand needs
The stands that win at InfoComm India are flawless AV environments. We design pristine display and LED walls, calibrated audio zones with acoustic separation, working control and automation demos, and clean, well-lit display — engineered for the heavy AV, connectivity, heat and acoustic loads they carry — plus a meeting area for the integration conversation. The finish and the AV execution must be impeccable, because here the stand itself is the proof of your product.
We design distinct experience zones so a display demo, an audio demo and a control demo don't interfere with each other, and we plan the visitor journey so a buyer experiences each at its best rather than in a clash of sound and light.
Designing for integrators, consultants and end-users
Buyers walk InfoComm India assessing AV products by experiencing them, so the stand has to demonstrate flawlessly and then host the conversation: a clear experience of your displays, audio or control, then a seated conversation about specification, integration, compatibility and project support. We design the path from the experience to that conversation, because at an experience-driven show the demonstration earns the meeting and the meeting earns the specification.
We keep the message and the demo specific to your domain — display, LED, audio, conferencing, control, signage — because an integrator specifying a control system and one specifying an LED wall want different proof, and a precise, flawless demonstration lands far harder than a general 'AV solutions' panel.
What an InfoComm India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at InfoComm India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with an experience zone and meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium experiential, display-wall or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is AV and display-wall scale, acoustically separated audio zones, multiple experience zones, and a double-deck or large experiential build — InfoComm stands carry more AV than almost any show. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out, and because this is our home venue, you save the freight and gain AV-commissioning time.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for component and accessory suppliers to 100 m²-plus experiential islands and double-deckers for display, audio and control majors. The layout separates experience zones so demos don't interfere, plans cable management, heat and acoustics into the design, and keeps a meeting area for the integration conversation. Corner and island positions help an experiential build be seen on a busy floor.
Whatever the size, we build, finish and calibrate to an impeccable standard, because at InfoComm India the AV quality of your stand is read directly as the quality of your product.
Getting into the Jio World Convention Centre: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight, high-standard build-up, and power, rigging and AV slots book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order the heavy AV and power load through the official contractor before the deadline, plan rigging, connectivity and acoustic isolation, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand lands and the AV is commissioned, calibrated and tested in good time.
Because an AV-intensive build needs proper commissioning and calibration, being Mumbai-based lets us run that testing thoroughly rather than against the clock.
Reusing your stand between editions
AV brands exhibit at InfoComm India, the regional AV and integration circuit and global InfoComm shows across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable AV and display fixtures is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics, demo content and display layouts for each edition, and keep your AV, power and connectivity orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A glitchy or compromised AV stand on a floor where the stand IS the product demonstration.
- Crowding display, audio and control demos so they interfere with each other.
- Under-ordering power and connectivity for heavy AV and scrambling on build day.
- Leaving AV commissioning and calibration to opening morning instead of testing properly.
