A Guide to Laundrex India Expo for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon: the rules that shape your stand
The BEC (NESCO) is Mumbai's principal venue — a multi-hall complex on the Western Express Highway with its own access and marshalling discipline. Hall heights and column grids vary by hall, so we design to the specific hall rather than a generic assumption. Because Laundrex is co-located with the Clean India Show, the build-up and marshalling schedule is a shared, busy one.
Laundry machinery is heavy and utility-hungry: a running washer or dry-cleaning demo needs floor loading, three-phase power and, frequently, water supply and drainage. We plan machine positions, base plates and load spread to the venue's limits, design the utilities into the demo area, and coordinate the forklift and rigging. Power and water are ordered against a declared load through the official contractor ahead of the deadline; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site.
The home-ground advantage is real: our workshop is minutes from the BEC, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, and we can react fast in a shared, busy build-up and commission a running, plumbed machine carefully — a genuine cost and reliability edge.
What a winning laundry stand needs
The stands that win orders at Laundrex show the machine running and the numbers beside it. We design a safe, well-lit demonstration area where a washer, dryer, finishing line or dry-cleaning machine can operate — with the power, water and drainage it needs — clear capacity, cycle-time, water and energy-consumption data, and a meeting area for the capital conversation. Running cost is the argument in linen care, so we put the consumption data where the buyer reads it.
We keep the message specific to your segment — commercial laundry, hospital linen, hospitality, dry-cleaning, chemicals — because a hotel laundry manager and a hospital linen supervisor assess differently, and a demonstrable, consumption-led proposition lands far harder than a general 'laundry solutions' one.
Designing for hotels, hospitals, laundries and facility managers
Buyers walk Laundrex with capital-equipment and chemical-supply decisions for real linen volumes, so the stand has to demonstrate capability and then talk numbers: a running machine and clear consumption data, then a conversation about capacity, cycle time, utilities, service, spares and payback. We design the path from the demo to that conversation, because at a running-cost-driven show the working machine earns the meeting and the meeting earns the order or the supply contract.
We keep the message specific to your buyer, because a hospitality group, a hospital and an independent dry-cleaner want different proof, and a precise, quantified capability statement is engaged with far faster than a general one.
What a Laundrex India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at Laundrex India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a running-machine demo area and a meeting nook, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium raw-space or multi-machine build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor space outside it.
What moves the number is a plumbed, powered running demo with water and drainage, heavy machine floor loading and handling, or a large raw-space build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for chemical, spares and software suppliers up to 100 m²-plus raw-space builds carrying running machinery for major manufacturers. The layout puts the running machine where the aisle sees it, keeps safe circulation around operating equipment and its utilities, and sets a meeting area slightly back and quiet enough to talk numbers. Corner and island positions help a running machine be seen and heard about.
Whatever the size, we design the demonstration to run safely and present consumption data clearly, because on a laundry floor a working machine with honest numbers beside it is the quality signal a buyer reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the BEC: build-up timing
The shared Clean India / Laundrex build-up runs a tight, busy dock and marshalling schedule, and power, water and handling book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power, water and drainage through the venue contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading and the forklift schedule for machine move-in, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand lands and the machine is set, plumbed, powered and commissioned in good time.
Being Mumbai-based, we can plumb and commission a running machine carefully inside a busy shared build-up in a way an out-of-town builder can't.
Reusing your stand between editions
Laundry and linen-care brands exhibit at Laundrex, the Clean India Show and the regional hospitality and facility circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand designed around your machine footprints is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and consumption data for each edition, and keep your power, water and handling orders on file — so the next edition is a refresh and a re-set of the machines, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A static machine on a floor where a running demo wins the buyer.
- Under-planning water, drainage or three-phase power for a live laundry demo.
- No consumption or cycle-time data on a floor that buys on running cost.
- Ignoring the shared Clean India build-up schedule and missing the access window.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
