A Guide to LogiMAT India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon: the rules that shape your stand
The BEC (NESCO) is Mumbai's principal venue — a multi-hall complex on the Western Express Highway with its own access and marshalling discipline. Hall heights and column grids vary by hall, and for racking, robotics or a tall automation demo the allocated hall's height is decisive, so we design to the specific hall rather than a generic assumption.
Material-handling equipment, racking and automation can be heavy and tall, so floor loading and height are the first calculations: we plan positions, base plates and load spread to the venue's limits, check the height envelope, and coordinate the forklift and rigging. Power is ordered against a declared load through the official contractor ahead of the deadline; all materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in; finishing is completed off-site; and two-storey or complex structures need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
The home-ground advantage is real: our workshop is minutes from the BEC, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, and we can react fast during build-up and set and commission a running automation demo carefully — a genuine cost and reliability edge on a Mumbai stand.
What a winning intralogistics stand needs
The stands that win at LogiMAT India show the system running. We design a safe, well-lit demonstration area where material-handling equipment, a conveyor, an AGV or a robotic picker can operate, with clear throughput, accuracy and ROI messaging, product and racking display, and a meeting area for the project conversation. A running system earns dwell time and credibility that a static rack never will.
We keep the message specific and quantified — throughput, pick rate, accuracy, payback — because a 3PL, an e-commerce warehouse and a manufacturing supply chain assess differently, and a demonstrable, numbers-led proposition lands far harder than a general 'logistics solutions' one.
Designing for warehouse operators, 3PLs and supply-chain heads
Buyers walk LogiMAT India with automation and equipment projects for real warehouses, so the stand has to demonstrate the system and then talk numbers: a running demonstration and clear throughput data, then a conversation about capacity, integration, payback and service. We design the path from the demo to that conversation, because at an automation show the running system earns the meeting and the meeting earns the project.
We keep the message specific to your domain — racking, forklifts, conveyors, AGVs, robotics, WMS software — because an equipment buyer and a software buyer want different proof, and a precise, quantified capability statement is found far faster than a general one.
What a LogiMAT India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at LogiMAT India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a demonstration area and a meeting nook, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium raw-space, tall-automation or multi-system build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor space outside it.
What moves the number is a running automation or robotics demonstration with its power, floor loading and safety, tall racking within the hall's height envelope, or a large raw-space build. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for component, software and consumable suppliers up to 100 m²-plus raw-space builds carrying running automation for major equipment houses. The layout puts the running demonstration where the aisle sees it, keeps safe circulation and guarding around operating equipment, and sets a meeting area slightly back. Corner and island positions help a moving system be seen across a busy floor.
Whatever the size, we design the demonstration to run safely and present the equipment well, because on an intralogistics floor a working, safely guarded system is the quality signal a warehouse buyer reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the BEC: build-up timing
The BEC runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and power and handling book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power through the venue contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading, the height envelope and the forklift schedule for equipment move-in, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand lands and the demonstration is set, guarded and commissioned in good time.
Being Mumbai-based, we can commission and test a running automation demo carefully during build-up in a way an out-of-town builder can't.
Reusing your stand between editions
Intralogistics brands exhibit at LogiMAT India and the regional warehousing, cold-chain and supply-chain circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand designed around your equipment footprints is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and demonstration for each edition, and keep your power and handling orders on file — so the next show is a refresh and a re-set of the systems, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A static rack or machine on a floor where a running system wins the project.
- Ignoring the allocated hall's height envelope for racking or tall automation.
- A running demo with no safety guarding — a hazard and a credibility risk.
- Unquantified 'logistics solutions' copy with no throughput or payback numbers.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
