A Guide to Medicall for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the rotating venue: the rules that shape your stand
Medicall runs at major venues — the Chennai Trade Centre (Chennai) and the Bombay Exhibition Centre (Mumbai) in its principal editions — each with its own access and marshalling discipline. We design to the specific venue and hall allocated, because heights, grids, loading and the freight leg differ; the Mumbai edition is our home venue with no freight, while a Chennai edition is roughly 1,340 km by road from Mumbai.
Medical equipment can be heavy and may need power to run or demonstrate, so floor loading and a declared electrical load are planned in, ordered through the official contractor ahead of the deadline. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
We plan the logistics to the venue: for the Mumbai edition there is no freight (home venue); for Chennai we crate and convoy-time the stand and coordinate any separately arriving equipment into one access window.
What a winning medical-equipment stand needs
The stands that win orders at Medicall display equipment credibly and let clinicians try it. We design clean, well-lit equipment display with demonstration and hands-on where relevant, clear capability and certification messaging, and a meeting area for the procurement conversation. Where a clinician can try the equipment, credibility and interest rise sharply, so we design the hands-on experience in safely.
We keep the message specific to your segment — diagnostics, imaging, surgical, ICU, hospital infrastructure, consumables — because a hospital procurement head and a clinician assess differently, and a demonstrable, certified proposition lands far harder than a general 'medical equipment' one.
Designing for hospital owners, procurement and clinicians
Buyers walk Medicall with equipment and infrastructure procurement decisions, so the stand has to demonstrate capability and then host the conversation: an equipment display and hands-on trial, then a conversation about specification, certification, service, financing and supply. We design the path from the demonstration to that conversation, because at a procurement-driven show the equipment experience earns the meeting and the meeting earns the order.
We keep the message specific to your buyer, because a large hospital, a diagnostic chain and a clinician want different proof, and a precise, demonstrable, certified proposition is engaged with far faster than a generic one.
What a Medicall stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at Medicall runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with equipment display and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island or heavy-equipment build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, freight (or delivery within Mumbai for the home edition), install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is heavy equipment floor loading and demonstration, meeting-room enclosure, or the freight leg for an out-of-Mumbai edition. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and for the Mumbai edition you save the freight entirely, as it's our home venue.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for consumable and component suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands for major equipment and infrastructure brands. The layout puts equipment display and hands-on where the aisle sees it, plans safe circulation, and keeps a meeting area for the procurement conversation. Corner and island positions help on a busy, procurement-focused floor.
Whatever the size and whichever city, we present and light equipment to a clean, clinical, credible standard, because on a medical floor a composed, well-presented stand is the quality signal a hospital buyer reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the venue: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight build-up and marshalling schedule, and power and handling book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power and any demonstration load through the official contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading for heavy equipment, and — for the Mumbai edition — schedule a short local delivery, or for Chennai, time the freight so the stand and equipment land set and ready for the first buyer.
Because equipment often arrives separately, we coordinate the stand and the equipment into one access window rather than reacting on build day.
Reusing your stand across editions and cities
Medical brands exhibit across Medicall's multiple city editions and the wider healthcare circuit through the year, so a modular reusable stand designed to travel between cities is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and equipment display for each edition, and keep your power and handling orders on file — so each city edition is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Equipment displayed with no hands-on or demonstration on a floor where trial wins.
- Under-planning floor loading or power for heavy equipment.
- Burying certifications and service credentials a hospital buyer needs.
- Treating a multi-city presence as one plan and missing an edition's freight window.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
