A Guide to PaintIndia for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the venue: the rules that shape your stand
PaintIndia's established home is the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO) in Mumbai — a multi-hall complex on the Western Express Highway with its own access and marshalling discipline. We design to the specific hall allocated rather than a generic assumption, and we confirm the 2027 venue at booking, because some listings indicate a possible alternate venue for the upcoming edition.
Power is sanctioned through the venue's official electrical contractor against a declared load, ordered ahead to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer. Where you display product samples, we plan safe, compliant presentation rather than open handling of chemicals.
Where the edition runs at the Mumbai venue, the home-ground advantage is real: our workshop is minutes from the BEC, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, and we can react fast during build-up — a genuine cost and reliability edge. If the edition moves to an NCR venue, we crate and convoy-time for the longer road leg instead.
What a winning coatings stand needs
The stands that win sourcing at PaintIndia read as capable and reliable and make meetings easy. We design a clean, professional stand with a clear capability message — pigments, resins, additives, equipment, construction chemicals — and the technical and compliance cues a coatings buyer scans for: technical data, approvals, recognisable client credentials. The look is composed and credible rather than loud, because this audience trusts capability over spectacle.
Meeting capacity is the other half of the brief. PaintIndia is meeting-driven, so we build in enough seated tables and, for larger brands, a semi-enclosed room — because a stand that runs out of places to sit on a busy sourcing day is leaving enquiries on the floor.
Designing for formulators, procurement and technical buyers
Buyers walk PaintIndia with formulation briefs and supplier-qualification mandates, so the stand has to qualify them fast and host them properly: a clear statement of your products, capability, technical data and capacity, then a seated conversation about specification, performance, volumes and lead time — the conversation where a supply agreement starts.
We keep the message specific to your segment, because a resin buyer, an additive buyer and an equipment buyer are scanning for different proof, and a precise capability-and-data statement is found far faster than a general 'coatings' one on a busy floor.
What a PaintIndia stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at PaintIndia runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a technical wall and meeting tables, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery (within Mumbai for the home venue) or freight, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is meeting-room enclosure, a double-deck lounge, or the freight if the edition runs outside Mumbai. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and at the Mumbai venue you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for specialist suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for large coatings and raw-material houses. The layout prioritises meeting density — tables, a technical/credentials wall and a semi-enclosed room — with a clean capability display up front. Corner and island positions help on a busy, sourcing-driven floor.
Whatever the size, we keep the stand clean, professional and well lit, because a composed, credible-looking stand is the quality signal a coatings buyer reads before they sit down.
Getting into the venue: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power through the venue contractor before the deadline, plan loading, and — at the Mumbai venue — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand lands finished and ready for the first buyer; if the edition runs in NCR, we crate and convoy-time for the road leg.
Being Mumbai-based, we can handle last-minute finish refinements during a Mumbai build-up that an out-of-town builder can't.
Reusing your stand between editions
Coatings brands exhibit at PaintIndia and the regional coatings and chemicals circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and capability display for each edition, and keep your contractor orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A loud, generic stand on a floor where buyers assess technical capability and compliance.
- Too few meeting tables on a meeting-driven sourcing floor.
- Burying technical data and approvals a coatings buyer is scanning for.
- Assuming the venue without confirming the 2027 edition's location.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
