A Guide to SATTE for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida: the rules that shape your stand
The India Expo Mart is one of India's largest venues — big, flat, high-clearance halls suited to large pavilions and tall, evocative builds. The hall and position you're allocated shape the build, so we design to the specific space rather than a generic assumption, and national/state pavilions can be substantial co-exhibitor builds.
Power is sanctioned through the venue's official electrical contractor against a declared load (including any AV or lighting), ordered ahead to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, rigging where permitted goes through the appointed agency, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
Greater Noida logistics are tight in the February window. Freight runs roughly 1,400 km by road from our Mumbai facility, so crating and convoy timing decide your build week; we schedule to land the stand inside its access window — finished and ready for the appointment schedule.
What a winning travel stand needs
The stands that win at SATTE evoke a destination or brand and host efficiently. We design an evocative, atmospheric look — capturing a place, a property or a brand with strong visuals, lighting and sometimes an experiential element — with plenty of meeting tables, a welcoming reception, and a layout that handles a packed appointment schedule and walk-up traffic. For a pavilion, we design a cohesive look across co-exhibitors with individual meeting pods.
Atmosphere and meeting capacity are the message here: a buyer is drawn in by the feel of the destination and converted at the table, so we balance an evocative front with the practical meeting capacity the appointment-driven business needs.
Designing for tour operators, agents and MICE planners
Buyers walk SATTE with appointment schedules and sourcing needs, so the stand has to attract and host: an evocative draw, then comfortable meeting tables for the back-to-back appointments where deals are discussed. We design the path from the atmosphere to the table, because at an appointment-driven show the feel earns the walk-up and the table converts both the appointments and the traffic.
We keep the message specific to your offer — destination, property, airline, DMC, MICE, tech — because a leisure tour operator and a MICE planner want different things, and a focused, evocative offer with the right meeting capacity works far harder than a generic 'travel solutions' one.
What a SATTE stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at SATTE runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with an evocative look and meeting tables, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium pavilion, island or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, road freight to Greater Noida, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is an experiential or pavilion build with many meeting pods, elaborate destination theming and lighting, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out, which sit inside the turnkey figure.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for individual properties and DMCs to 100 m²-plus pavilions and double-deckers for tourism boards and large groups. The layout leads with an evocative destination or brand moment where the aisle sees it, maximises meeting tables, and keeps a welcoming reception. Corner and island positions, well themed and lit, help a stand draw traffic on a busy floor.
Whatever the size, we theme and light the stand to evoke the destination or brand, because on a travel floor the atmosphere of the stand is read directly as the appeal of the destination or product.
Getting into the India Expo Mart: build-up timing
The venue runs a tight build-up and marshalling schedule, and services book up early in the February window. We confirm your build slot, order power through the official contractor before the deadline, plan rigging and lighting for theming, and time the Mumbai-to-Greater Noida freight so the stand lands inside its access window — finished and ready for the first appointment.
For a pavilion with multiple co-exhibitors, we coordinate the whole build and access as a single plan.
Reusing your stand between editions
Travel brands exhibit at SATTE, OTM Mumbai and the regional travel circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with re-deployable theming and meeting fixtures is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics, theming and lighting for each edition, and keep your contractor orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- Too few meeting tables on an appointment-driven floor — capacity converts the traffic.
- A flat, generic stand that fails to evoke the destination or brand.
- A pavilion built as separate stands instead of one cohesive, coordinated look.
- Blocking the front so walk-up traffic can't step in.
