A Guide to The Smarter E India / Intersolar India for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Helipad Exhibition Centre, Gandhinagar: the rules that shape your stand
The Helipad Exhibition Centre (HEC) in Gandhinagar is Gujarat's principal large-format venue — a mix of built halls and structured space with its own access and marshalling discipline. The hall and position you're allocated shape the build, so we design to the specific space rather than a generic assumption.
Power is sanctioned through the official electrical contractor against a declared load — and where you run inverters, a charger or a storage readout, we declare and order the load accordingly, ahead of the deadline to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, rigging where permitted goes through the appointed agency, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
Gandhinagar logistics are very manageable from our base: freight runs roughly 525 km by road from our Mumbai facility — one of the shorter legs on the India circuit — so crating and convoy timing are straightforward, and we schedule to land the stand inside its access window.
What a winning solar and storage stand needs
The stands that win enquiries at The Smarter E India show product and signal scale. We design clean, well-lit display for real equipment — a module, an inverter, a battery rack, a charger — with a clear category and capacity message, because a manufacturer- and investor-heavy crowd is assessing whether you can supply at scale, not just what you make.
Manufacturing credentials and certifications are decisive in this market, so we give them prominent, verifiable placement; and a live element — a working inverter, a charging demonstration, a storage readout — earns dwell time that static panels never will. The look is confident and industrial, matching a sector that is scaling manufacturing fast.
Designing for manufacturers, EPCs and investors
Buyers and partners walk The Smarter E India assessing supply capacity, technology and investment, so the stand has to qualify them fast and then talk scale: a clear statement of your product, capacity, certifications and roadmap, then a seated conversation about supply volumes, pricing, partnership and lead time. We design the path from the product on display to that conversation, because in a 'Make in India' solar market the capacity-and-supply discussion is where the deal starts.
We keep the message specific to your segment across the three shows — solar (Intersolar), storage (ees) or charging/e-mobility (Power2Drive) — because each draws a different buyer scanning for different proof, and a precise product-and-capacity statement is found far faster than a general 'clean energy' one.
What a Smarter E India stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at The Smarter E India runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with product display and a meeting area, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, road freight to Gandhinagar, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is heavy product mounting, a working demonstration with declared load, or a double-deck meeting lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because the Gandhinagar freight leg is short, the logistics line on a Gujarat build is lighter than on an NCR one.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for component and BOS suppliers to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for module, inverter, storage and charging majors. The layout puts product where the aisle sees it, gives certifications and capacity prominent space, and sets a meeting area for the supply conversation. Corner and island positions help you be seen on a manufacturer- and investor-focused floor.
Whatever the size, we present equipment safely and light it well, because well-presented product on a clean, confident stand is the quality signal a solar buyer or investor reads before any conversation starts.
Getting into the HEC: build-up timing
The Helipad Exhibition Centre runs a tight build-up and access schedule, and power and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, calculate and order the declared load through the official contractor before the deadline, plan floor loading for any heavy equipment, and time the short Mumbai-to-Gandhinagar freight so the stand lands inside its access window — finished and ready for the first buyer.
Because the Gandhinagar leg is one of the shorter freights from Mumbai, we can also accommodate later design refinements than a far-NCR build would allow.
Reusing your stand between editions
Solar and storage brands exhibit at The Smarter E India, REI and the regional energy circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and product display for each edition, and keep your electrical and contractor orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A product-only stand that says nothing about manufacturing capacity in a scale-driven market.
- Hiding certifications and capacity figures that a manufacturer or investor is scanning for.
- Under-declaring power load for a live inverter or charging demo.
- Generic 'clean energy' messaging that ignores which of the three parallel shows your buyer is in.
Getting Started
Send your stand size, your hall and stand number once the organiser has issued it, and a short note on what will physically happen on the stand. You get a 3D design and an itemised all-in quote, at no charge and with no obligation.
