A Guide to World Tea & Coffee Expo for First-Time Exhibitors
Building at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon: the rules that shape your stand
The BEC (NESCO) is Mumbai's principal venue — a multi-hall complex on the Western Express Highway with its own access and marshalling discipline. Hall heights and column grids vary by hall, so we design to the specific hall rather than a generic assumption.
A tea/coffee stand carries specific requirements: a hygienic brewing and sampling bar with water, washing and power for machines (and sometimes drainage). Power is sanctioned through the venue's official electrical contractor against a declared load (including brewing and vending machines), ordered ahead to avoid peak-build surcharges. All materials are FR-treated with certificate and fire NOC filed before move-in, finishing is completed off-site, and two-storey builds need a structural-stability certificate from a licensed engineer.
The home-ground advantage is real: our workshop is minutes from the BEC, so there is no long road freight, crating is shorter, and we can react fast during build-up — a genuine cost and reliability edge, and useful when a brewing and sampling bar needs to be set up clean and ready.
What a winning tea and coffee stand needs
The stands that win at the World Tea & Coffee Expo are warm, brand-led and built around the cup. We design a hygienic brewing and sampling bar where buyers experience your product at its best, with the water, power and washing it needs, strong brand and product display, and a comfortable space to host a buyer. The atmosphere should evoke the café or the brand, because a tea/coffee buyer is drawn in by aroma, warmth and brand as much as by the cup.
Tasting and hosting are the message here, so we make the brewing experience inviting and the brand warm, and keep meeting space ready, because a stand that brews beautifully but has nowhere to host the buyer leaves orders on the floor.
Designing for café, HoReCa and trade buyers
Buyers walk the World Tea & Coffee Expo with sourcing, café and stocking decisions, so the stand has to brew and host: a tasting that proves the product and a warm brand experience, then a conversation about blends, origins, machinery, price, MOQ and supply. We design the path from the bar to that conversation, because at a tasting-driven show the cup earns the meeting and the meeting earns the order.
We keep the message specific to your offer — tea, coffee, machinery, packaging, café concepts — because a café owner and a bulk importer source differently, and a precise, beautifully brewed offer lands far harder than a general 'beverage solutions' one.
What a World Tea & Coffee Expo stand costs
A turnkey SOL stand at the World Tea & Coffee Expo runs from ₹1.8 lakh for a focused 9–18 m² Essential presence, from ₹4.5 lakh for a 24–48 m² Regular build with a brewing/sampling bar and hosting space, and from ₹12 lakh for a 50–100 m²-plus Premium island or double-deck build. The figure is all-inclusive — design, fabrication, graphics, lighting, delivery within Mumbai, install, dismantle and the venue paperwork — with only the organiser's floor rental outside it.
What moves the number is a full brewing/sampling bar with water and power, machinery display, café-style theming, or a double-deck lounge. What you do not pay extra for is flooring, material handling and electrical fit-out — and because this is our home venue, you also save the freight an out-of-Mumbai builder would add.
Stand sizes and layouts
Stands run from compact 9–18 m² spaces for specialist blends and accessory brands to 100 m²-plus islands and double-deckers for major producers and machinery houses. The layout leads with the brewing/sampling bar where the aisle sees (and smells) it, keeps hygiene and prep clean, and sets hosting space for the supply conversation. Corner and island positions help on a busy, footfall-heavy floor.
Whatever the size, we make the stand warm, inviting and well lit, because on a tea/coffee floor the warmth and brewing experience of the stand are read directly as the appeal of the brand and product.
Getting into the BEC: build-up timing
The BEC runs a tight build-up and dock schedule, and services book up early. We confirm your build slot, order power through the venue contractor before the deadline — including brewing and vending machines — plan water, washing and any drainage for the bar, and — because we're local — schedule a short, reliable delivery so the stand and the brewing bar land clean and ready for the first buyer.
Being Mumbai-based, we can set and dress the brewing and sampling bar carefully during build-up in a way an out-of-town builder can't.
Reusing your stand between editions
Tea and coffee brands exhibit at the World Tea & Coffee Expo and the regional beverage and food circuit across the year, so a modular reusable stand with a re-deployable brewing bar is strong value. We store the core in Mumbai, refresh graphics and display for each edition, and keep your power and water orders on file — so the next show is a refresh, not a rebuild.
Common mistakes, in order of frequency
- A stand with nowhere hygienic and inviting to brew and sample on a tasting-driven floor.
- Forgetting water, washing, power or drainage for the brewing bar.
- A cold, generic look on a floor that runs on warmth and aroma.
- No hosting space for the supply conversation.
